Membership Details

Interested in joining our sharing community and borrowing tools for your projects? A membership gives you access to hundreds of tools for whatever project you might be tackling! Take a look at our policies below to make sure everything sounds good and then click Join to be taken to our signup page.

With a membership, you can borrow any of our tools in our lending library for up to 14 days at a time. If you need the tool longer, they can be renewed for an additional week. Tools can be reserved online through our library borrowing platform, myTurn. Members can borrow a maximum of 10 at a time.

Cost

Our tool library is directly supported by your membership, which allows us to operate our space, maintain our inventory and be a resource for the community. To ensure we remain accessible to all our neighbors, we offer annual memberships on a sliding scale. We encourage those who can afford more to pay more, which not only helps make the library accessible to all, but allows us to increase our supply of tools and equipments. Paying toward the higher end helps cover memberships for neighbors who need the sliding scale most. Not sure where to land? Consider what you'd spend on tool rentals or a single contractor visit.

We are starting out with a “pay what you can” annual membership fee, $5 minimum per year.

You will see the following options on our tool library platform and you must purchase one to start borrowing tools.

• $50.00 per year

• $75.00 per year

• $100.00 per year

  There is an additional option for a $250 founding membership to help support the tool library more broadly.
